How to apply

Canadian Western Bank Group is proud to support registered charities and non-profit organizations that benefit the communities in which our employees and clients live and work.
Please note: In order to make the application process as fair and efficient as possible, we now only accept requests through the online application process outlined below; applications via email, mail, fax or telephone will be deemed ineligible. We strive to respond to all requests submitted in a timely manner; however, due to the volume of requests received, we are unable to respond to telephone or email inquiries about the status of pending requests.
To request a donation or sponsorship for a community program or event, please follow these steps:

1. Review our funding guidelines and funding restrictions. This will allow you to see if your organization is eligible for support and whether your project or initiative falls within our focus areas
2. Review the list of questions you will be asked. This will allow you to collect the information required to complete the on-line application form prior to beginning
3. Begin the application form. If you have technical difficulties opening or using the form, please contact technical support for assistance

Requests over $25,000
Additional information is required for funding requests ≥ $25,000. Once you have submitted your online application form as instructed above, please prepare the following information and send it to cwbcommunity@cwbank.com. These major requests will be reviewed in mid-June on an annual basis.

• Reference number from online application (provided in your confirmation email)
• Most recent audited financial statements and current operating budget for your organization (should include major sources of funding such as government or public sector grants)
• Detailed budget for specific request, including clear outline as to percentage of funds needed to cover associated administrative or fundraising costs
• Short paragraph explaining how this request aligns with Canadian Western Bank Group, specifically referencing our community giving philosophy

After your request has been submitted
Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email within the hour. We will then conduct a preliminary review of your request and will provide an update as to the status of your request within 14 days.
